Our Flowerbomb4love project

Years ago, I started donating flowers to people I thought could use a bit of sunshine in their lives.  This tradition has continued and is near and dear to my heart.  I often repurpose flowers from weddings and events to let the beauty of the blooms continue to bring joy.  The recipients include retirement home residents, people experiencing a difficult time or simply someone whose day could be brightened through the gift of flowers.

In 2020, our events were largely canceled or postponed due to COVID-19. Sadly, this was a time where our world needed more love and beauty not less. When I put the word out that I wanted to continue "flowerbombing" you made it happen.  People began donating to the flowerbomb4love project and although the weddings were largely gone, the flower gifts continued.  Because of your donations, the flowerbomb4love project survived even a pandemic. Thankfully, weddings are back and we are often able to repurpose wedding flowers for the flowerbomb4love project to keep these small reminders of goodness in the world.  If you would like to donate money to the flowerbomb4love project, you can do so here.  Camas will use 100% of donations for the purchase of flowers and supplies for flowerbombs. I will donate all labor. Your donation to the flowerbomb4love project allows me to purchase flowers when we don't have events. Whether small bud vase arrangements, random flower bundles or floral based art, I believe flowers can touch the soul.  If our flowers can show thanks to an essential worker, someone taking a stand for social justice or bring a smile to a face during this time of so much heaviness, we will have succeeded.

I will prioritize our flower sourcing to be from local farms to continue to support the hardworking men and women who nurture beauty from our earth daily. Our Camas Designs motto continues..."Locally sourced happiness"
